It looks like the Thanksgiving Day holiday is going to be pretty mild.
That’s the word from Storm Team4 meteorologist Chad Merrill, who said we’re headed for a “picture-perfect Thanksgiving.”
A few high cirrus clouds will filter the sun on occasion today. Also, high pressure will lead to another A+ day across the DMV with high temperatures once again around 60 degrees. Clouds will increase ahead of a warm front tonight
Depending on when you’re heading back from the holiday, you could be facing some rain: Late Friday morning into early afternoon, and then again on Sunday morning, looks rainy, according to Merrill’s forecast — but the temperatures will still be relatively mild, in the upper 50s on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

THANKSGIVING DAY/AFTERNOON: Sunny and mild. Highs in the low 60s.
THANKSGIVING DAY/EVENING: Increasing clouds. Winds: SW 4-8 mph. Lows in the mid-40s.
FRIDAY: A quick round of midmorning to midday rain, then breezy with partial clearing. Winds: Light SW, becoming NW and increasing to 10-15 mph. Highs in the upper 50s.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.
SUNDAY: Rain in the morning. Clearing in the afternoon. Breezy. Highs in the mid-50s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a shower or two and breezy. Highs near 60 degrees.
