[related_gallery align=”right”]WASHINGTON — Their hits have rocked the radio.
Now, four famous bands — Better Than Ezra, Sugar Ray, Eve 6 and Uncle Kracker — will hit Wolf Trap at 7 p.m. Thursday as part of the “Under the Sun” tour.
More than just a ’90s “Throwback Thursday,” these bands are still cranking out new music and touring the country for their die-hard fans.
“I’ve heard so many great things about Wolf Trap,” says Tom Drummond, bassist and founding member of Better than Ezra.
“Usually, when you get this many egos in one room there’s some head-butting going on, but it hasn’t been that way at all. It’s been a lot of fun. All of the bands watch each other every night. … The camaraderie has been great.”
Better Than Ezra burst onto the scene in 1995 with “Good” before landing other hits, including “Desperately Wanting” and “At the Stars.” They’ll also play songs from their 2014 album “All Together Now,” including “Crazy Lucky,” which has more Spotify streams than “Good.”

Sugar Ray — fronted by Mark McGrath — scored hits with “Fly,” “Every Morning” and “Someday.” They’ll also play songs from their latest album “Music for Cougars” (2009).

Eve 6 was massively popular with hits that included “Here’s to the Night” and “Inside Out.” Expect to hear those favorites, along with tracks from their latest album “Speak in Code” (2012).

Last but not least, Uncle Kracker had hits with “Follow Me” and “Drift Away.” He’ll also play songs from his latest album “Midnight Special” (2012).
