SUV strikes ambulance on way to D.C. hospital

WASHINGTON — An ambulance taking someone to the hospital was involved in an accident Wednesday morning in D.C.

It happened just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and Naylor Road in Southeast, when an SUV collided with the ambulance.

The person in the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.

The ambulance crew and person they were transporting were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police blocked off the area as they investigated.
