Suspect arrested for sexually abusing children in Anne Arundel County

WASHINGTON – Anne Arundel County police have arrested a suspect charged with sexually abusing children in the Edgewater area from 2000 to 2008.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division Child Abuse Unit received information in August that the suspect, John Charles Villers-Farrow, 66, had sexually abused several children.

Soon after, two adult male victims came forward with detailed accounts of being sexual abused from 2000 until 2008. The two victims were between the ages of 8 until their early teens when the abuse occurred.

Villers-Farrow, of Wakefield Road in Edgewater, Md. was arrested Wednesday and charged with second and third degree sex offense, two counts of perverted practice, two counts of second degree child abuse, two counts of sex abuse of a minor and two counts of second degree assault.

Villers-Farrow is currently being held at the Detention Center on $800,000 bond.
