Caps announce TV/radio schedule for Stanley Cup Conference round

WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals announced early Sunday morning the television and radio schedule for the 2015 Stanley Cup Conference Quarterfinal round against the New York Islanders, which begins Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m.

Games 1, 2 and 4 will be televised exclusively on Comcast SportsNet in the Washington/Baltimore region, while Game 3 will air nationally on NBC. Games 1 (USA), 2 (NBCSN) and 4 (USA) will also be televised to a national audience outside of the Washington/Baltimore region. Television information for Games 5, 6 and 7 will be announced at a later time, the Caps announced in a statement.

Comcast SportsNet will present Capitals Postgame Live immediately following all seven potential first-round games.  Washington will host Game 1, Game 2 and, if necessary Game 5 and 7 in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series.

North Potomac, Maryland, sixth grader Alex Henderson helped create 1,000 masks for medical workers and first responders when shortages hit during the coronavirus pandemic. After WTOP ran a story about Henderson's efforts, it caught the attention of Washington Capitals radio play-by-play announcer John Walton — and Caps right winger Garnet Hathaway.
