Alex Graham, a beloved 17-year veteran of the D.C. fire department was laid to rest Thursday. His funeral was held at DC Armory, followed by a procession that made a stop at his fire house in Adams Morgan.
One resident remembered him as a great guy, who was always taking care of the fire trucks.
Graham, who was 48, died last month following a medical emergency at the fire department’s training facility in Southwest. D.C.
Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a statement that Graham’s “courage, leadership and sacrifice were a source of comfort and strength at Engine 21 and in the community.”
