Man shot near Northeast DC metro station

WASHINGTON — A man was shot near a D.C. Metro stop Sunday morning.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. in the 900 block of Monroe Street, NE, near the Brookland-CUA Metro station, according to D.C. police.

The man was conscious and breathing. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black male who was wearing all black clothing.
