SPARKS, Md. (AP) — Two teens in Maryland have been charged with shooting cars that drove through a neighborhood.

Police in Baltimore County said in a statement Wednesday that both face counts of assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property.

Police said the shootings occurred in Sparks, Maryland, during the course of an hour on Aug. 24. At least five cars were struck.

The first alleged victim reported that a back passenger window was blown out. Several police units searched the area. During that time, police said an unmarked police car was hit.

Police said the teens who’ve been charged are 18-year-old Tyler James Getz and 17-year-old Timothy Allen Staples.

Police said the suspects weren’t immediately arrested. The investigation found that one of them lived near where the shots were fired.
