WASHINGTON — D.C.’s LGBTQ community rallied together with a dance party Saturday night to send a strong response to the Trump administration’s recent climate regulation roll back.

The protest — The Queer Dance Party for Climate Justice, as one of the organizers called it, is in response to the Trump administration’s executive order for the Environmental Protection Agency to roll back the Obama administration’s climate regulations.[custom_gallery]

The group gathered in Dupont Circle and marched north along Massachusetts Avenue to the Kalorama neighborhood, the recent new home of Ivanka Trump.

Firas Nassr, one of the organizers for Saturday’s dance protest, said that Ivanka Trump, has shown support in the past for the LGBTQ community and had something to say to her.

“We want to send a message that if you are going to be a BFF of the LGBTQ community, then you have to come out and dance with us,” he said.
