WASHINGTON — AT&T customers in D.C. and parts of Virginia and Maryland were unable to make 911 calls from their cellphones for nearly two hours on Wednesday night. D.C.’s Office of United Communications reported 911 issues at around 9 p.m. AT&T acknowledged that customers around the country were experiencing issues calling 911 and had reportedly restored service around 10:30 p.m. https://twitter.com/ATT/status/839679792345657344 In the area, AT&T customers were affected in D.C.; Alexandria and Prince William County in Virginia; and Baltimore City, Charles, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland. The Federal Communications Commission is looking into the cause and impact of the outages, Chairman Ajit Pai tweeted Wednesday night.
