DC police: Man charged after string of groping incidents

WASHINGTON —An arrest has been made following a string of reports of women being groped in the streets of D.C.

D.C. police said in a news release Saturday that Michael Hilliard, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of misdemeanor sex abuse.

The charges are tied to three offenses reported earlier this week: Two incidents were reported Wednesday — at 8:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of 15th Street Northwest and at 5 p.m. in the Unit block of Logan Circle Northwest — and the third incident was reported 8 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Massachusetts Avenue Northwest.

Women claim a man approached them and groped them against their will.

Police said Hilliard was arrested Friday night on the charges.
