DC police search for missing 9-year-old girl

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are looking for Sophia Proctor, 9, who has been deemed as “critical missing” by authorities and was last seen about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. She was also last seen at the 1000 block of 14th Street NW.

Proctor is a young black girl, four feet eight inches tall, between 50 to 60 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and medium-brown skin complexion. She was last spotted wearing a white dress with a white sweater, white headband and silver shoes.

D.C. police have stated that they believe she is with her biological mother, Julia Proctor, 27, who was last seen driving a 1998 Volvo with D.C. tags EK2268.
