Police: Man shot, another wounded in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON — One man was wounded and another was killed during a shooting in Northwest D.C. on Sunday.

Jayvon Marshman, 35, of Southeast, was dead by the time police got to the scene. D.C. police said the shooting happened at around 3 a.m. in the 2500 block of 17th St. Northwest.

Another man was hospitalized for a gunshot wound, but is expected to be OK.

Police did not provide further details about a motive and did not provide a description of the suspect or suspects.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction. People with information are asked to call police at 202-727-9099.Anonymous information can be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
