Snow emergency fare in effect for D.C. taxicabs

WASHINGTON – A snow emergency fare is in effect into Tuesday for D.C. taxicabs. According to the District’s Taxicab Commission, the fare will remain in effect for 12 hours beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17. Taxis will add a flat fee of $15 to the metered charge.

According to a news release, the goal is to encourage taxis to remain in service and be available. If you believe you have been charged an excessive fare or if you encounter a service problem, call the D.C. Taxicab Commission at 855-484-4966 or email DCTC3@dc.gov.
