Metro to continue bus service restrictions for Wednesday

WASHINGTON –- As with the rest of the area, the main problem as Tuesday turns to Wednesday is re-freezing. As the snow and ice meets very cold temperatures, roads that were in decent shape later Tuesday can easily turn treacherous again.

Metro is warning its riders that it expects to continue to operate on a Moderate Snow Plan on Wednesday. That means buses will stay away from hilly terrain, narrow streets and other potential trouble spots.

All school trips to public and charter schools in the District will still operate, Metro says, and as more Metro bus routes are able to drop the Moderate Snow Plan restrictions, announcements will be made through MetroAlerts and on the WMATA website.
