3 men missing after falling off boat in Potomac River

Three men are missing after falling off a boat in the Potomac River near Southwest D.C. Sunday evening. Rescue crews tried to find them after they did not resurface, D.C Fire and EMS said Sunday. Multiple agencies and the D.C. Police Harbor Patrol assisted with the search about 5:40 p.m. Sunday. At 8 p.m., D.C. Fire and EMS said it’s now treating the incident as a recovery operation.

The recovery effort is expected to resume Monday morning. In tweets early Monday, D.C. police listed the three men as critically missing. They are identified as Ahmad “Johnny” Noory, 28, Omid Rabani, 23, and Mustafa Haidar, 26.
