Man shot, wounded by police in Parkville

PARKVILLE, Md. (AP) — A man is in critical condition after being shot by police during an incident at a Parkville home.

WBAL-TV (http://bit.ly/1rYverV ) reports officers were called to a home on Manns Avenue late Saturday night for a woman saying her husband had a gun and was suicidal.

Police say they tried to communicate with the man when he came out of the house armed with a handgun. But he refused to follow officers’ commands to drop the weapon.

Police say the man and officers fired their guns. The suspect was struck, but no officers were injured.
