WASHINGTON — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic- related fatal shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon in the Potomac Station community.

In a release Saturday night, police say Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Shadow Terrace in Leesburg, VA, around 2:45 p.m. They found that two adult family members “had been involved in a physical confrontation that ended in gunfire.”

The victim, a 21-year-old Leesburg, VA man, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say no names will be released at this time pending notification of next of kin and the continuing investigation.
