WASHINGTON — A woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a dump truck at 6th and Indiana in Northwest D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Departments reports that she is conscious and breathing and that the driver remained on the scene.

The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m.
