Residents still without water in Bethesda

WASHINGTON – UPDATE Sunday 10:30 A.M WSSC says all service has returned to Bradley Boulevard residents.

UPDATE Sunday 9:30 A.M. Water is slowly returning for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) customers on Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda,  following a second break on the same pipe around midnight Sunday — one hour after crews completed the first repair.

WSSC said it hoped to restore water to everyone by lunchtime. Sunday marked the second day without water.  WSSC told  WTOP that one apartment building was still  without water service this morning.

On Saturday, eight apartment buildings had no water after the 62-year old pipe burst between Arlington Road and Wisconsin Avenue.

Update from WSSC: Sunday, 1 a.m.

Bradley Boulevard is blocked between Chevy Chase Drive and Offutt Lane. Pepco and WSSC crews were both on the scene as of 6 p.m. Saturday.
