CenturyLink: Marine Corps contract up to $3.5M

MONROE, La. (AP) — CenturyLink Inc. says it has won a contract worth up to $3.5 million to design and create a virtual private network for the Marine Corps Community Services headquarters in Quantico, Virginia.

The company based in Monroe, Louisiana, said Tuesday that it will also provide circuits connecting the Quantico headquarters with 37 Marine Corps locations across the continental United States.

The base contract is for one year. It would add up to $3.5 million if the Marine Corps approves all four one-year renewal options.

Marine Corps Community Services provides services such as Post Exchanges and programs such recreation and child development to improve the quality of life for Marines and their families.
