Burke Mountain Resort to hold hotel groundbreaking

BURKE, Vt. (AP) — Burke Mountain Resort in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom will soon be adding a hotel.

The resort will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday for the 116-room, ski-in, ski-out Hotel Burke.

Gov. Peter Shumlin and Congressman Peter Welch are expected to speak at the event, along with representatives of Q Resorts executive team and Burke Mountain Academy.

The resort features skiing, hiking, mountain biking and adventure camps for children among other activities.
