Prust back, but Weise out for Canadiens in Game 6

NEW YORK (AP) — Brandon Prust is back in the Montreal lineup for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals after serving a suspension, but fellow forward Dale Weise is sitting out because of an undisclosed injury.

Prust was banished the previous two games against the Rangers after he delivered a late hit in Game 3 that broke New York forward Derek Stepan’s jaw.

Weise is out Thursday night after he absorbed a hit to the head Tuesday from New York defenseman John Moore, who is serving the first game of his two-game suspension as a result of the shot.

Canadiens coach Michel Therrien denied Thursday morning that Weise sustained a head injury, but wouldn’t go further. Weise was wobbly after the hit, but returned to the game after being medically cleared.

Raphael Diaz took Moore’s place for the Rangers, who hold a 3-2 series lead.
