ESPN to televise National Women’s Soccer League

CHICAGO (AP) — ESPN will broadcast nine games of the National Women’s Soccer League this season as part of a one-year deal.

Three regular-season games will be on ESPN2, the league said Wednesday. ESPN2 also will televise two playoff semifinals on Aug. 23 and 24 and the championship on Aug. 31.

Three matches will be streamed on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app.

The NWSL is a nine-team women’s pro league featuring national team players from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
