A 12-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Tuesday evening on St Elmo Avenue.

The incident was reported a little after 6:30 p.m. near the Landow Building entrance near Woodmont Avenue. According to MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer, the 12-year-old boy is being transported to the hospital with serious injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.

Paramedics put the victim on a stretcher and into an ambulance. Police reopened St Elmo Avenue soon after.
