Chargers WR Floyd cleared for contact

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd says he’s been cleared for contact after missing most of last season following a scary neck injury.

Floyd participated in the first day of the Chargers’ organized team activities Tuesday.

In his words, “It’s good to be back out there. I’m cleaned for contact. I’m cleared for everything.”

While many Chargers attended the workout, Antonio Gates, Ryan Mathews and Dwight Freeney were among those who did not.

Linebacker Manti Te’o worked on a side field as he continues to recover from offseason foot surgery.
