D.C. metro gas prices up 2 cents from last week

WASHINGTON (AP) — Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are up two cents from a week ago.

In its weekly report released Friday, AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.66, up from $3.64 a week ago. The price is 8 cents higher than this time a year ago, when the price was $3.58.

The price of gas in the region is the same as the national average.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the District of Columbia alone is $3.86, down a penny from a week ago.
