Officials ID 2 who died in Md. boating accident

ROCK HALL, Md. (AP) — Officials are identifying two men who died in a boating accident near Kent Island in the Chesapeake Bay.

Maryland Natural Resources Police identified the men as 22-year-old Joshua Jon Rediger of Chester and 23-year-old Robert Taylor Morelli of Stevensville.

Officials say the two men left Kent Island in a 12-foot boat around 7 p.m. Friday. They spent the night at Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge in Rock Hall and left there Saturday morning. Police located their boat around 11 a.m. and found their bodies in the water sometime after.

An investigation is ongoing.
