KINGSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County Police say a woman was struck and killed when she tried to cross a road in Kingsville.

It happened about 9:35 p.m. Thursday on Pulaski Highway. Police say 57-year-old Marlene Langston of Kingsville was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a car traveling west. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say pedestrian error and poor lighting contributed to the accident, which remains under investigation.
