Indians add House and Lowe; put McAllister on DL

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have recalled left-hander T.J. House from Triple-A Columbus and purchased the contract of right-hander Mark Lowe from the same minor league club.

Cleveland also placed right-hander Zach McAllister on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain. In addition, the Indians optioned left-hander Kyle Crockett to Columbus and transferred outfielder Nyjer Morgan from the 15-day DL to the 60-day disabled list.

The 24-year-old House made his major league debut with the Indians on May 17 and pitched a scoreless inning.

The 30-year-old old Lowe currently ranks fourth in the International League with eight saves. He broke into the majors with Seattle in 2006 and has not pitched in the majors this season.

McAllister is 3-4 with a 5.89 ERA in 10 starts with Cleveland this season.
