Packers sign 4, including 3rd-rounder Thornton

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers have signed defensive end Khyri Thornton, their third-round draft pick, and a trio of undrafted free agents in safety Charles Clay, tight end Colt Lyerla and defensive end Luther Robinson.

The Packers also released tight end Raymond Webber on Monday.

Thornton had 39 tackles in 11 games last season with Southern Mississippi. He finished his career with 116 tackles and 5½ sacks.

Clay played in 12 games with six starts and 69 tackles as a senior at Hawaii last season. He spent his first two seasons at SMU.

Lyerla caught 34 passes for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns during his three seasons at Oregon.

Robinson had 24 tackles and a fumble recovery in 13 games with Miami last season.
