Cowboys sign RB Ryan Williams, cut Glasco

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Cardinals running back Ryan Williams.

The team said Monday that it signed Williams, a free agent who played just five games in three seasons for Arizona.

Williams was a second-round pick in 2011 for the Cardinals but missed his entire rookie season after tearing his right patella tendon in the preseason. He played five games in the 2012 season, gaining 164 yards on 58 carries, but did not play last season.

The Cowboys cut undrafted rookie Glasco Martin to make room for Williams.
