VDOT: More than 146K potholes patched in 2 months

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Department of Transportation says highway crews patched more than 146,000 potholes in March and April.

VDOT Commissioner Charlie Kilpatrick on Friday thanked motorists and others who have reported potholes caused by the unusually harsh winter.

The transportation department conducts pothole repairs on state-maintained roads year-round and says it will continue to address these roadway hazards. Repairs are prioritized based on severity and location.
