CAIRO (AP) — Security officials in Egypt say the body of a South African tourist has been found after her boat cruising the Nile capsized during a storm.

Officials say the body of a 51-year-old South African woman washed ashore Thursday near the village of Akleet in Egypt’s southern Aswan province. They say the sailboat she was on capsized Wednesday during a dust storm and heavy rain.

Officials say she and five other foreign tourists — three Australians, a Pole and another Southern African — were on board. They say the five, along with three Egyptians, were rescued.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they weren’t authorized to speak to journalists.

Egypt’s vital tourism industry has suffered following the 2011 uprising that toppled autocratic leader Hosni Mubarak.
