Wooden Nickel Park, Inc

Wooden Nickel Parks features “Woodside,” the organization’s mascot. The logo is symbolic of the purpose behind the organization, which is to bring children to nature in an interactive way. The frog is a species of animal that inhabits over 75 percent of the world; trees and grasses provide shade and habitat to both humans and wildlife; and water is the essence of that shared life. WNP connect children and their families to nature, gets them comfortable, gains their confidence, and nourishes their curiosity, in the parks interactive spaces. June 7, 2014 is our 1 K Fun Run and Kid Fun Fest to raise funds to build the first Wooden Nickel Park. There will be hayrides, face painting, scales and tales, frog tossing, bird house painting, food and other games. Drawings for Random cash prizes will be given out to 1 K Fun Run participants under 12. Kinder Farm Park in Millersville Maryland from 10AM till 3PM.
