East-West Highway Hit With 5 Office Burglaries Last Weekend

Montgomery County police carPolice are looking for information on a string of five office burglaries last weekend in two downtown Bethesda office buildings they believe are related.

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce distributed this crime alert put out on Thursday.

According to police, four burglaries happened in an office building at 4520 East-West Highway, probably some time on Friday evening. Police identified a potential suspect who was seen wandering inside the building and entering multiple offices.

Two reports were filed and one office door showed signs of tampering. The other was apparently unlocked or open. The burglar targeted laptops and a safe, police said.

Police also got a report of a fifth office burglary at the nearby 4340 East-West Highway office building, which likely happened during the same weekend time period.
