DEVELOPING: Reported Freon Leak Shuts Down Rockledge Office Building

MCFRS (file photo)A reported Freon leak in a Rockledge Drive office building has forced the evacuation of the building on Tuesday and could mean the closure of nearby roads for a few hours.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services were called to the incident, at 6903 Rockledge Drive, a little before 1:45 p.m.

According to MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer, there is a report of a freon leak in the office. Hazmat crews are evacuating the building and isolating the leak, Piringer said on Twitter.

The freon leak happened on the 15th floor, according to scanner reports.
