Tiger’s tournament to return to Congressional

WASHINGTON — Tiger Woods’s golf tournament will return to the Washington area.

CSN Washington reports that members of the Congressional Country Club, in Bethesda, voted to continue to host the Quicken Loans National in 2016, 2018 and 2020.

The tournament is hosted by Tiger Woods and benefits his foundation. It will be held in June this year and has been held at Congressional five times since it began in 2007.

The tournament was known as the AT&T National. On March 24, Woods and PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem announced the sponsorship change.

CSN says that it’s not known where the tournament will be hosted in 2015, 2017 and 2019, but that Woods has mentioned Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, in Gainesville, Va., and TPC Potomac, at Avenel Farms.
