Equipment damage causes power outage in Germantown

WASHINGTON — About 1,300 Potomac Edison Power customers were in the dark Tuesday night.

According to their website, there was equipment damage in Germantown, causing the power to go out for customers in the area.

Crews are on scene, but some customers may not get power back until about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

As of 11 p.m., less than 100 customers remain without power.
