All lanes of Inner Loop reopen after fatal accident

CHEVY CHASE, Md. – All lanes of the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway at Connecticut Avenue are now open after a fatal crash early Friday.

Police tell WTOP the 2:41 a.m. crash involved a tractor trailer and a car. One person died.

The crash, which involved a car fire, had completely shut down the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway at Connecticut Avenue, diverting traffic onto Connecticut Avenue.

All lanes reopened just after 9 a.m.
