VRE’s Manassas trains to run on ‘S’ schedule

WASHINGTON — Virginia Railway Express will operate its Manassas Line trains on an “S” schedule Wednesday afternoon.

VRE canceled its Manassas trains Wednesday morning after a train struck and killed a man near Clara Barton Drive in the Fairfax Station area. The accident occurred 5:45 a.m. Wednesday.

VRE says it has repositioned its trains near D.C. to run limited afternoon service.

Full service will be offered on the Fredericksburg Line.
