Federal court strikes down Va. same-sex marriage ban

WASHINGTON – A federal judge has struck down Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage, and has issued a stay on such marriages pending an appeal.

Attorney General Mark Herring tweeted about the decision on Thursday night.
