Can you pass Chick-fil-A’s cellphone challenge?

WASHINGTON — Many local Chick-fil-A restaurants are offering the Cell Phone Coop Challenge.

Here’s how it works: Families eating together agree to silence their cellphones and put them in a box that looks like a chicken coop.

At the end of the meal, each family member gets a free small IceDream cone.

A restaurant owner in Georgia came up with the idea, and it spread quickly.

Locations taking part in the D.C. region include Seven Corners in Falls Church, Virginia and Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, Maryland.

The Purcellville, Virginia Chick-fil-A is offering the challenge on Monday nights only.

Movie theaters are starting to reopen. Will anyone go?

For the first time in roughly five months, AMC Theatres will pop the popcorn, dim the lights, and start the show. But will anyone buy a ticket?
