Billy Joel coming to Nats Park

WASHINGTON – Billy Joel will play at Nationals Park, the Nationals and D.C. have announced.

Joel will perform at Nationals park on July 26.

It will be Joel’s first solo headlining appearance at the ballpark.

Joel played Nats Park on a double bill with Elton John in 2009.

“Billy Joel’s music has been part of the fabric of our lives for more than 40 years, and we are thrilled to have him back at Nationals Park,” said Catherine Silver, Nationals vice president of Ballpark Enterprises and Guest Experience.

People with American Express cards can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. through Friday, Jan. 31 at 10 p.m.

Nationals season ticket holders will be able to get tickets starting Jan. 30.

Tickets will be available for the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 through nationals.com/billyjoel.

Other concerts coming to the stadium include One Direction on Aug. 11 and Jason Aldean. A date for the Aldean show has not been released.
