WASHINGTON – Police have identified two men killed in a car accident on Tuesday morning in Landover, Md., near the Landover Metro station, that left a car split in half.
The victims are 21-year-old O’Sha Marquis Allen of White Plains, Md., and Daryl Deon Davis, 18, of Landover, both of whom were in the split Acura.
Allen was driving the two-door Acura, says Officer Harry Bond of the Prince George’s County police.
Police say their investigation indicates that Allen lost control of the car and crossed the northbound lane, colliding with the taxi.
Preliminarily, it appears wet conditions and speed played a role in the crash, police say.
Around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Acura and a taxi, traveling in opposite directions, slammed into each other when the Acura crossed into the wrong lane near the entrance to the Landover Metro station.
The taxi driver is in stable condition at a local hospital.
