Firefighters are on the scene of a Moorland Lane house fire on Tuesday morning.

MCFRS was called to the scene, in the 5400 block of Moorland Lane, around 9 a.m. for the report of a basement furnace fire.

The family inside the home has reportedly been evacuated.

Moorland Lane is closed in the area of Wilson Lane.
