Velveeta microwave product recalled

WASHINGTON – About 1.7 million pounds of Kraft products are being recalled because they contain soy and it’s not disclosed on the labels, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The products are formulated with hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce, which are known allergens.

The recall includes 9-ounce microwaveable containers of Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles, Cheeseburger Mac with sell by date codes of March 2, 2014 to Oct. 23, 2014. No other Velveeta or Kraft products are part of the recall.

Kraft discovered the problem during a routing quality check.
