Boy hit by car in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON – A boy was struck by a car on his way to school at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday near 13th Street and Missouri Avenue in Northwest.

The D.C. Fire Department says the boy was taken to Children’s Hospital with injuries they described as serious, but not life-threatening.

It is not yet clear if the driver stayed at the scene following the crash. Authorities have not released any additional details about the crash or the driver at this time.
