Jewish community center to serve on Christmas Day

WASHINGTON – One local group is working to give back on Christmas Day — and you can still join in if you want to volunteer.

More than 1,000 volunteers with the D.C. Jewish Community Center will partner with 60 social service agencies to prepare food for the homeless, visit senior citizens and donate blood.

Most activities last two to four hours.

While registration is closed for many events, there are limited walk-in volunteer slots between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the DCJCC’s office at 1529 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C.

Additionally, registration to donate blood is still open. Click here for availability.
