WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was hospitalized Friday morning after he wasn’t feeling well.
Reid’s Spokesman Adam Jentleson released the following statement:
“Early this morning, Senator Reid was not feeling well and as a precaution decided to go to the hospital. Tests have been conducted and everything is normal. He is alert, resting and feeling better.
“Doctors have asked that he remain in the hospital for observation so he will not be working today.”
Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois opened session Friday saying he talked to Reid and the majority leader feels good.
The 74-year-old Reid suffered a mild stroke in 2005.
